So, I always plan to take tons of screen shots when I get into a beta, but I never do it because I’m too busy running around playing with my new toys. I managed one of my Engineer here. I tried all the classes, but I liked that one the most. There’s something about throwing crazy concoctions around, not knowing exactly what they’ll do, while pointing a giant steampunk gun at giant spiders.
What I like:
- No “Kill me ten bajillion spiders and bring me their legs—Oh, and most of the spiders don’t have all eight legs so, you’ll be killing them for a long, long time” quests.
- No fucking ability cancer. I’m not required to have eighty hot bars up to contain all my stupid situational abilities abilities.
- The scenery. The cities are INSANELY pretty and huge. HUGE.
- Rolling around to actively dodge things is fun.
- Believable female NPCs!
- The good armor actually looks really cool.
What I didn’t like:
- While the event form of “questing” is fun right now, I worry that it will get just as tedious as collecting a bajillion spider legs.
- I thought three origin stories was a little skimpy, but I understand they end up making your story throughout the game.
- Some of the outfits for women are ridiculous, and this is coming from someone who has been playing Aion for the last two weeks. The caster costumes look like they ripped them from the set of Suckerpunch. No, that’s NOT a good thing.
- No choice but to have your avatar with giant bazongas. I love big bazongas, but it looks pretty silly on the slimmest models.
- No choice but to have a female avatar with makeup. Because we ladies always visit the MAC counter before going to fight bandits in the countryside.
Anyway, I’ll try to take good screen shots next beta weekend.

Diablo III spotlight on the Wizard.
I was definitely not interested in playing as the Wizard, but the more I see of her, the more she seems fun. Also, after watching this new spotlight video, I realized she has the same voice actor as AZULA from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
So wait…i get to basically pretend to be azula and blow everything to fucking hell? YESSSSSSS.

although not officially confirmed, i saw a possible leak list for the recently announced Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale which includes Jeanne D’Arc!

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is real, confirmed yesterday. The Sony Smash Bros., previously rumored to be named “Title Fight,” will be very similar to the nintendo cross-over brawler.
Fat Princess!!! Hopefully some more classic Playstation females make it into the roster.
